Can Women Study The Martial Arts?

Can women study the martial arts?

This is not and should not even be a question being asked.

The martial arts are about moving the body in a certain way, and human beings, all of us, are able to make use of the martial arts regardless of any other factors.

A more productive question would be, what is the aim of the martial arts, and does the ‘art you want to study align with that aim.

Or, if you are not sure of that aim, are you at least open to accepting what the martial arts can teach?

As human beings we all have the tremendous capacity to learn and grow in that arts, connecting with a good school, teacher, and transmission is the only factor in studying and learning the martial arts.

Located in Westchester New York, the Bujinkan Shinmyoken Dojo is a martial arts training group founded in 2005 with the aim of coming together as martial arts friends to study the Japanese martial art of Masaaki Hatsumi through the lessons of the Bujinkan dojo.

As friends (buyu) we come together to grow, learn, and share our individual potential in this wonderful martial art.
