Martial Arts & Personal Health

Punching, kicking, locks, and throws.

Martial arts techniques and movements that relate to the martial arts.

But what about movement outside of the martial arts?

Walking, running, weight-lifting, and general fitness.

With the martial arts being physical movement, are you building up and supporting your body?

Taking stock of where you are right now in the journey.

Working to improve your diet, fitness, and water intake to support the martial arts, and be the best human that you can be.

With regard to the martial arts, this does not necessarily mean becoming a body-builder or long distance runner, although some might have that interest or direction in addition to the martial arts. Rather, looking at other physical activities which can support you in the martial arts.

See you on the mat.

Located in Westchester New York, the Bujinkan Shinmyoken Dojo is a martial arts training group founded in 2005 with the aim of coming together as martial arts friends to study the Japanese martial art of Masaaki Hatsumi through the lessons of the Bujinkan dojo.

As friends (buyu) we come together to grow, learn, and share our individual potential in this wonderful martial art.

Questions, comments, feedback, and inquiries may be emailed to the group here:
