Martial Arts: When You Make A Mistake In The Dojo

Martial Arts: When You Make A Mistake In The Dojo

What happens when you make a mistake in the dojo?

Is it *good* to make mistakes in the dojo?

The dojo is the *best* place to make a mistake in the martial arts.

The dojo- gym, training hall, club, etc. is one of the safest places in the world given the subject matter of the martial arts.

Mistakes, corrections, and advice can be fixed, corrected, and improved- in the dojo you always get to try it again or go another time.

Make your mistakes in the dojo and learn from them.

Outside of the dojo, given the subject matter, things might very well play our differently.

The same goes for corrections by a teacher or assistant instructors.

They are there working out of love and compassion to see you get better and progress in the martial arts, to correct any issues and help you be your best.

Take those corrections as a chance to do things over and learn.

The dojo is the safest place in the world!

Located in Westchester New York, the Bujinkan Shinmyoken Dojo is a martial arts training group founded in 2005 with the aim of coming together as martial arts friends to study the Japanese martial art of Masaaki Hatsumi through the lessons of the Bujinkan dojo.

As friends (buyu) we come together to grow, learn, and share our individual potential in this wonderful martial art.

Questions, comments, feedback, and inquiries may be emailed to the group here:
