Training notes from some kyoketsu shoge training from our last class session.
Casting the rope and ring out.
Using it to strike up and down, side to side.
The speed of the cast out so your training partner can’t catch the ring, and at other times can catch the ring- allowing them to catch the ring so you can throw a loop over and capture the wrist.
Stepping on the rope as an anchor point.
Putting the rope and the loops in-between you and your training partner, allowing them to entangle themselves through movement they initiative.
Casting the ring out, and being able to pull it back in while looping the rope, leaping back to create distance.
