What are one of the martial arts movement points that we begin to work on, made aware of day one?

Consider this perspective regarding the transfer of power- movement.
As one moves the body, power in terms of momentum follows behind it. We want that momentum to be behind the martial arts technique we are practicing- be it a lock, throw, or strike.
As we move, if the direction of our feet don’t point in the direction that we are moving, that means part of our movement power is off line. If the lower and upper half of the body don’t move in the same direction power is lost.
Not to mention balance.
Being aware of the bio-mechanics of how the body moves.
