Solo Bujinkan Training

When I first entered the dojo and began my martial arts training one of the first points stressed was to always practice every day.

Work to make physical progress each and every day, and over time, days, weeks, months, the martial path will unfold.

We practice both at class, and outside of class.

Outside of class, as part of being a dojo member one can train with fellow students- sempai and kohai.

Yet, there are times, when one has nobody else to train with.

Perhaps current life circumstances prevent you from being able to train with other students?

What are some of the things that we can work on to advance out taijutsu movement?

Without a training partner to interact with it is difficult to practice and understand-experience distance, timing, & rhythm.

But there are numerous kihon that are well suited to solo practive like ukemi, san shin no kata, parts of the kihon happo, kamae gata, and various striking and footwork drills.
