Martial Arts Stretching

We begin our martial arts training with a brief stretching and breathing routine, specific to our Bujinkan training to not only prepare the body for the lessons ahead, but also to build flexibility and economy of movement as we progress in the art.

Junan taiso- martial arts stretching begins with the head and neck, moving to the shoulders & arms, lower back, hips, legs, knees, and ankles.

Working on rotating each joint clockwise and counter clockwise to limber up and get the blood flowing.

Stretching as a way to warm up and cool down after each class, but also as a way to promote fluid movement free of tension, leading to flow.
